The issue relating to investigations for insurance companies is somewhat separated from the general issues that may be important to a Police or Corporate Sector investigation.
The Wellington based Corporate Risks team recognise that it is how both parties respond to the policy that is likely in question. Accordingly, our Investigators ensure that they are familiar with the policy that is required to respond to a particular or given event. Such policies may include endorsements that may be relevant to the activities or actions of an insured, for example.
Our Specialist Wellington team has assisted a large number of the insurance companies over many years and have provided valuable information that allows Claim Technicians to promptly respond to any given claim.
It is imperative that our insurance clients have confidence in the abilities of our Investigators and as such, it has been long recognised that our Wellington based team are among the top insurance Investigators within New Zealand.

Corporate Risks has been involved in many large, complex, commercial, forestry and litigious fire scenes, recently including the Port Hills fire in Christchurch, the International Conference Centre NZ fire in Auckland and the Lake Ohau fires in the Mackenzie High Country. Corporate Risks provides detailed and interactive 3D modelling as part of all fire scene investigations and also utilises these during mediation and court proceedings.Corporate Risks is the only New Zealand investigation company providing specialist fire investigation services comprising its own team of Forensic Origin and Cause Experts, supported by internal Specialist Fire Factual Investigators, a Chartered Electrical Engineer, Forensic Data Experts and a strong administration support team.

Wellington based Corporate Risks is New Zealand’s leading fire investigation company with dedicated Specialist Factual Investigators who have been specifically trained to investigate issues relating to fires.
When investigating fire scenes, using the Corporate Risks Fire Factual Investigators, whilst not mandatory, is encouraged. This strategy guarantees and promotes efficient liaison, prompt reporting, the convenience of providing insurers with ONE cohesive report covering the entire investigation, and the ability to provide a report where the final Origin & Cause determination is reached, with ALL the factual information taken fully into account.
Our Factual Investigators have amassed a vast experience base through national and international training seminars for fire investigators. They have identified a significant number of fraudulent fire claims that would otherwise have gone undetected through conventional investigations. It is the knowledge base in the expertise of the Corporate Risks Investigators who have identified information that has led to not only the declinature of fraudulent claims - but the recovery of millions of dollars through third-party recovery action.
